Hi AWeber team,
I’m building a step-by-step educational workflow using Split Path logic based on link clicks. Here’s the scenario:
- The workflow checks if the subscriber clicked a specific link.
- If yes, they receive the next lesson.
- If no, they go down a reminder path (“Did you miss it?”).
Now the key question:
➤ If a subscriber goes down the “No” path, but later clicks the original link (e.g., from the reminder email), will the workflow re-evaluate and move them to the “Yes” path?
Or do I still need to set up a parallel tag-based automation to send them the next content if they engage later?
I’ve checked the documentation and community posts but didn’t find a definitive technical answer.
Thank you so much for your clarification—this behavior is crucial for planning efficient automation without duplicating campaigns unnecessarily.
Best regards,
Hello Francesco,
Welcome to AWeber Community, we are excited to see you here!
The subscribers will need to meet the “Yes” criteria before hitting the Split Path within your Workflow. If they were to click the link at a later time, they would still remain on the ‘No’ path if they have already passed that Split Path step in the Workflow.
You would still want to set up a parallel tag-based automation in order to send them content if they were to engage with the link at a later time.
That being said, would you be able to give me a bit more information about why you would like Workflows to work this way? If you can provide more information about how you are using Workflows and why you would like it to behave this way, I would be able to pass this along to our developers as a feature request for future iterations.
I look forward to your reply with more information so I can pass this along to the team, thanks!
