We’d love to hear your thoughts! What excites you most about the new split branching feature? How do you plan to use it to enhance your email marketing strategies? Share your ideas below and let’s discuss how this tool can benefit our community.
I’m glad to hear you guys are adding more complex automations—this is definitely going to help a lot of people. In fact, one of my referred users (a student) wanted to do something as simple as moving a contact from one list to another after they completed an automation, but there wasn’t a way to do that without connecting Zapier or another 3rd party tool. So, I’m really looking forward to this update!
Also, can you share a hint about what these new automations will include? I’m really curious to see what’s coming! Thanks!
Unless you need to be sending with different FROM addresses, best practice these days is to use tags and segments to deliver relevant information to subscribers instead of trying to move them around from list to list.
The automations and personalizations you can achieve with tags are much more powerful than simply moving subscribers around.
Couple articles that might give you some ideas:
Of course, when in doubt, reach out to our team for some direct 1:1 advice on your specific setup, or that of your student.
I do use tags, but she needed to remove her users from a specific list because they required a kind of automation that would have been too complicated to handle with just tags and keeping the leads in the same list. The leads in one of her lists needed to be moved to another list to start fresh for a different type of campaign.
I reached out to support, but that wasn’t possible with the current AWeber setup. That’s why I’m curious about the complexity and capabilities of your new automations.

Those seem to be at odds with one another. What kind of automation were you trying to do? More specifically, could you outline the specific business case for the automation? There’s often more than one way to accomplish a given goal and understanding the ultimate goal can help expose alternate ways to get there.
Thanks Benet and Dave! Thanks for joining the BETA. It will be a nice opportunity for you to see what’s coming and for us to receive your input as things evolve. Stay tuned for more…
