Why are there no opens currently in my dashboard?

Hi guys so, I just looked at my dashboard an it says that I have 0 opens with a few people click the link… Why is that and a couple days ago, I had an open rate of 37.5%… the only thing that i did differently is I connected it to Claude and it is the one writing my emails… Please let me know what is going on…

THANKS,

patrick

Hi Patrick,

Happy to help! What types of messages are you sending? You would want to send a message either built in the HTML editor or the Drag and Drop editor. Because the most accurate open tracking relies on the loading of tracking images in messages (and images cannot be included in plain text messages), you would not be able to view a complete list of which subscribers who appear to have opened a particular message you’ve sent if you send messages built with the plain text editor.

Why Am I Not Seeing Opens

If you are looking to send emails with just text, you can do so through the Drag and Drop Email Builder and then use a plain template.

If you need further assistance with the account or for us to look at your specific messages, please reach out to us and we can assist from there.

So does that mean if I have Claude create the email and send it directly to Aweber via MCP server, it won’t count as an open?

Patrick

Hey Patrick,

It would depend on the type of email being created. Are you copy/pasting from the MCP or are you having it directly generate the message in AWeber in the MCP in Drafts?

Patrick,

Whether or not Claude created the email is irrelevant.

You created a plain text message with Claude.

You can similarly create HTML based messages with Claude, you just need to prompt it to do so.

Plain text emails are just that, plain text. There are no images. When a message is sent using the plain text format, no open rate tracking is possible, and thus your open rates will show zeros.

This link will work for you only in your account. It shows the message with zero opens was sent using the plain text format. Log Into Your AWeber Account

This is a blog article about plain text messages that expands on the differences.
