Email automation allows you to set up a series of messages that goes out after subscribers sign up to be on your email list. From there you can have other types of automations set up to help with further engagement and list management.
Having email automation in place is important as you want to start building engagement with your subscribers right away. If you have subscribers join your list, then sit on the list with no contact, this is going to impact your overall engagement. You’re also missing out on getting in front of your new subscribers!
There are additional automations you can set up that aren’t just messages going out right when someone signs up to your list.
- Move subscribers from one list to another; think of a prospect to buyers list. Once someone buys, you can have them moved off of your prospect list and into your buyers list.
- Add subscribers to segments to send targeted emails to smaller groups versus your whole list. For example, if you wanted to send an email just to the people who open a recent message you send and not to everyone who got the message.
- Remove subscribers from a Campaign when you no longer need them to receive it
Trigger a message or add to a segment based on a subscriber going to a specific page on your website (Page Hit)
