Unable to Publish Workflow Changes Despite Adding Messages

Dear Support AWeber Team,

I hope you’re doing well.

I’m reaching out because I’m having trouble publishing changes to my automation workflow. The last successful message I was able to send was on June 29. Since then, I’ve tried updating my workflow, but I keep getting the following message:

**"There are a few things to update or remove from your workflow before you can turn it on.

  • Set a trigger to start your automation.
  • Add at least one step to your automation.
  • Add a message to send to your subscribers."**

The problem seems to be with the last point: “Add a message to send to your subscribers.”
Even though I’ve added new messages and placed them correctly, the system still won’t let me publish the changes.

I’ve already watched the recommended tutorial videos and followed all the steps, but the issue remains.

Also, I have two questions I hope you can clarify:

  1. How can I check if I’ve reached the 500-action limit in the workflow? In the old version, it was visible, but now I don’t know how to confirm it.
  2. If I delete some messages from the workflow, will those subscribers still receive the following ones, or will they be lost completely from the automation sequence?

I’d really appreciate your support with this.

Best regards,
Lili

Hey Llil,

Out of curiosity, did you change the starter for your Workflow at all or is it the same since you last edited the workflow?

Keep in mind if you delete Wait periods or reorder messages, that can impact how subscribers get messages in your Workflow.

I would also encourage you to reach out to our Customer Solutions team so we can look at your current Workflow set up to see what might be going on!
