How to Fix Email Campaigns That Aren’t Sending to Your Subscribers

If your campaign isn’t sending to subscribers, it can be due to several common issues. We’ll explore potential reasons, their solutions to resolve the issue, and ensure your messages reach your audience!.

  1. Campaign Trigger: Is the Campaign set up to go out when someone joins your list, or is it set to go out when someone gets a specific tag? Double check your trigger as you may not have the right trigger set up for your workflow. Updating the trigger will let your Campaign send as intended moving forward.
  2. You activated the Campaign AFTER subscribers were already on the list. If subscribers are on the list before you activate the Campaign, it won’t send out to them retroactively. You can temporarily change the Campaign trigger to Tag Applied, tag subscribers to receive it, then change it back to the initial trigger once you’ve seen messages sent.

If your campaign was triggered on a tag, subscribers had the tag BEFORE you activate the campaign. Same as the scenario above, the campaign won’t retroactively send, so if you remove the tag from the subscriber(s) and re-apply it, the Campaign would then send out.

A campaign will also not send if you don’t set up multiple entry for subscribers who already receive the campaign once before. The campaigns are designed to only send the campaign once, however you can setup the campaign to allow your subscribers to reenter the campaign when they receive a tag, You can also set this up to automatically reenter the subscribers into the campaign after they finish.

I created a campaign (7 Day challenge) to start on Monday.
I had 40 subscribers opt in to the campaign.
My subscribers received the pre-challenge email and day 1 fine. After day 1 , days 2-6 have been sent outside of the send window I set up, and NEW SUBSCRIBERS (there are 4 so far) are getting day 4 and later emails when they should be waiting until the next Monday to start. It’s being looked at but has anyone else ran into this issue where your campaign emails are not being sent correctly?
