Hello! I would like to set up a sequence so that when my customer makes a purchase, they will be sent to a new sequence. Can anyone please tell me how to do this? Thank you!

You can set it up so subscribers are tagged when they make a purchase depending how the purchase is made, and you can have them go into a new workflow targeted specifically to them.
How are subscribers making the purchase currently? Are you using the ecommerce option in our landing pages to sell or are you using another payment platform outside AWeber? We’d need to know what platform to see if you can connect it directly with AWeber and tag them that way.
Hi Amanda, thank you for your response to my query. Right now I am using ejunkie to process payment as well as release a digital guide.
I am using my own webpage from my website. Does that make a difference and should I create a landing page on aweber instead? I’d prefer to use my site, if possible.
If there is a payment processor/digital provider that syncs with aweber, please point me in the correct direction. I hope this is enough info for you.

Hey MJ,
You are able to connect AWeber and E-junkie together using Zapier. Someone can be added to a list after they purchase from you.
If you were to use our landing pages, we do have our ecommerce option (through Stripe) that you can use to have people purchase through the landing page and be added to your list after purchase. They can also be tagged based on what they are buying or what landing page they are coming through.
You can also see the various platforms we integrate with under Integrations in the account as well!

While I appreciate that buyers from a platform such as Stripe, will be added to an email list, I’m looking for something a little bit different.
I will be promoting a digital product to my email subscribers and when they buy it, I want them to be moved off of the present sequence, and added to a new email list where I would promote a second digital item. Is this possible with aweber? Or is this what you mean by tagging? Sorry for the confusion.

Thanks for the clarification! Do you need to have them moved to another list all together? You can use tags in a list to move people between workflow series versus needing to move them to an entirely new list.
For example, you could have them in a workflow for item 1, they buy it and get a tag and get taken out of that workflow and moved into another one triggered on that same tag. That would all take place within the same list.

Hi Amanda, hope you can continue to help, please. I have now set up the tag for someone who purchases item #1. Then they should be moved to the sequence #2, can you please tell me if they will automatically be removed from sequence #1, or will they get double emails? Thank you!

They’ll do whatever you have configured to do.
If you want them to exit Workflow #1 when another tag is added, use the “exit rules” to define the tags being added that should remove the user from that Workflow.
