I have been through all the help files and I just want to combine some for editing there is no obvious way I can see how to do this - what am I missing?

Hey Leanne, welcome in! To clarify are you trying to take content from one message and merge it with another? You would need to copy/paste the content from one message to another if you are looking to edit messages.
If you want all your messages to have the same base look and then you just want to swap out content, you can update one of the messages and save it as a template then go and apply the template to each message and substitute in the content you want to include.
