You know how important email is to stay top of mind with your audience. Imagine an assistant that drafts your newsletter every week before you even think about it. It proactively asks if you have stories or promotions you’d like to include; if not, no problem. It already knows your content, your style, and your audience.
That’s exactly what the Newsletter Assistant does.
We’re looking for a small group of early users to try the assistant and give feedback on how we can improve the assistant to help it save you the incredible amount of time we believe it can.
The team here has been testing the Newsletter Assistant with our own AWeber newsletter and it’s saved us almost a full day’s worth of work on content and setup every week. The best part, the engagement with the emails has been great compared to our normal newsletter engagement.

I made a quick video showing how this all works. Seriously, give it a try. I think it’s going to save you a LOT of time every week.
And for those of us who have trouble staying consistent, it might be the thing that helps you commit to even sending a weekly newsletter to stay top of mind with your audience.

I’ve tried it out a bit - so far my results are pretty good. As we edit and add additional prompts, will it learn our writing style? Also, if I may ask, what AI is it using? Some AI seems better at adapting to writing styles vs. others (For example, Claude vs. OpenAI)
Yes, the system will learn as you publish newsletters with it.
We use a variety of tools depending on the specific task the agent is completing during the process of creating a newsletter. This isn’t a static prompt, or even a single prompt. You won’t be able to recreate the results we’re getting by going to any off the shelf model and trying to get it to write a newsletter.

Your Newsletter Assistant is amazing. I find ideas in AI that I’ve written about before which means to me AI borrows from all of us and puts it together much better. I wonder if I’m cheating in using AI. How do you think about it?

Personally, I liken both AI in general, as well as more complex applications like the Newsletter Assistant as exactly that… assistants.
For content creation, it’s no different than if I were to provide a hired team member with a style or creative guide and assign them the task of developing content for me within those guidelines. I still maintain editorial and creative control and my input still helps guide results, as the tool learns what I want and improves.
I just get to save time and money, while I focus on other stuff or other aspects of my business.

Thanks Chris. I think you’re saying I design the prompts; I keep asking for changes to fit what I want, and I keep changing the results until I am satisfied. That makes my Newsletter Assistant my “hired team.”

This, exactly. Too many people are out there touting AI as a “be all, end all” and I completely disagree with that analysis; It’s really good at helping eliminate writer’s block when you’re staring at a blank screen and you haven’t had enough coffee.

I get that feeling sometimes too! But this is undeniably part of our future as marketers or business owners.
One thing that should hopefully put your mind at ease a little is that your voice, previous content, and the edits you make to the Newsletter Assistant have a big part in shaping the content you make. So the contributions you make, even if they’re just a small conversational change or the previous messages you sent, go a long way to making your content unique.
My advice, embrace change and use it to give you time back to spend on the things you feel most passionate about.

Can this be set up to mail more frequently than once a week? OR can we use it ANYTIME to help us generate new emails on our desired schedule?

You can use it any time you like by going to Log Into Your AWeber Account
Right now, it’ll proactively write a draft for you once a week. We’re planning on giving more control over the frequency of that proactive creation in the future.
Interested in hearing how you’re planning on using the assistant!

I used the newsletter for the first time yesterday and I love it! I do have a question of the ability to add clickable links for tagging purposes. It generated the links but there was no ability to add the path of the link. Will this be an option in the future?

Hey Lisa! Thanks for the feedback. What do you mean by It generated the links but there was no ability to add the path of the link?
What specifically were you trying to update in regards to the links?
I created a new ChatGPT and wanted to link it within the newsletter. The generator showed it hyperlinked but gave me no way to add the path for the subscriber. The only links that worked were the ones actually attached to my website.
Hey Lisa! I reached out to you via email regarding speaking with you directly about your feedback, so keep an eye out for that.
What do you mean when you say that it doesn’t give you a way to add the path for the subscriber? Do you mean it doesn’t let you edit the link or something else?
This is pretty good. Thanks for this new feature. Appreciate it. Ugur
Can you please add a Newsletter Assistant link to the regular Aweber sidebar menu so that we can access it easily without going through the Community page? Thanks. Ugur
