What brings me the most joy as a business owner is forging meaningful connections with my customers and knowing that the products I promote, contribute positively to the environment.
It’s incredibly rewarding to hear stories about how the products I have promoted, have helped others adopt more sustainable lifestyles.

Outside of my business, I’m passionate about music, meditation, walking and riding my bicycle. There’s nothing quite like starting my day with an invigorating morning walk or cycle ride, followed by my favourite breakfast smoothie!

- Hi My name is Mona Walrond
- My Business is Marketing and Consulting. In this Business I empower communities to access various services (examples: affordable legal services), and to feel ‘unstuck’ , capable, and ready to move forward because their voices are being heard.
In 2024, I was able to assist an elderly gentleman to have peace of mind by accessing affordable legal services that helped him to successfully resolve a Landlord and tenant situation. Also, I was able to empower a group of Black Youth who had felt marginalized, to access Leadership opportunities and feel valued. And I was able to mentor/coach a classroom teacher who has now become the Principal of an elementary school in my region.
The thing that brings me most joy is to see the smiles on the faces of my clientele when issues have been resolved.
One thing that I learned and would share with a new or aspiring business owner: Be patient when dealing with clients because reactions generally depend upon their past experiences.
One random fact about myself: I love learning to play steelpan music. I learned to play what are called the Guitar Pans (2 pans) as part of the Percussion Section of the Band. I learned as an adult and was able to perform with the Band (Panache Community Steelband) to support various organizations, on several occasions.

Hi, I am Annabelle Drumm. My new venture is as a Knitting Pattern Designer based in Sydney Australia. I’ve only launched a few products so far but already been nominated for “Best work of the Month” by a yarn manufacturer.
I’ve been self employed for about 30 years and love project based work. I get the most joy out of seeing my designs delight those who make them, wear them and receive them as a gift. Just like any highly creative work, getting the snow ball rolling takes an immense amount of time and effort but I absolutely know it will start rolling.
My tip: One thing I’ve learnt is to constantly tweak systems operations. The more efficient and effective the system, the more time you have to spend on the actual work you love to do. I spent about 10 years as a Business Coach for Creative Professionals and found they could expand their income up to 400% doing no more hours, just simply being more efficient with the “paperwork” so, it works.
I am fascinated by culture, what it was in the past and how it is constantly changing as we humans move around the planet. I like looking at the big picture and visualising the future. Yes, it’s deep but I keep my sense of humour.
