2. What type of business are you in and can you share a win you had recently with it?
I’m a part time content creator, as well as a photographer. One big win that I had was I got my highest amount of booked shoots for an event (Dreamhack Dallas) back in May topping off at 13 sessions. It was a blast!
3. What part of being a business owner (or promoter) brings you the most joy?
I love being able to interact with my clients who come to me because they are fellow nerds (think Anime, DnD, video game loving crowd) and they feel a level of comfort working with me since we share that common interest.
4. What’s the one thing you’ve learned that you would share with a new or aspiring business owner?
Shoot your shot! If there’s a brand you want to work with or somebody you want to collaborate with, take the chance and ask them. I was introduced to a educational event back in 2017 who was looking for a photographer thanks to a former colleague. At first, I was nervous to reach out to work with them, but I took the chance and did it. I have now been the official photographer for this event going on six years!

My name is Dean Wong and I am very pleased and excited to be allowed access to this community.
I must admit that I never knew it existed as I only thought that “Aweber” was just a software used to provide an email autoresponder system, please forgive my ignorance
I reside in Jamaica, W.I. and for years I have been fascinated with having my own online business, so I can get out of the 9 to 5 trap.
I have been involved with an Affiliate Marketing Program that sells Digital Products for a few years now but I’m still a newbie, as I have a lot to learn about Marketing Online.
My intention is to learn and grow as a savvy Email Marketer, and I believe “Aweber” can help me, as long as I stay committed to learning how.
One thing that I have learned and would share with other aspiring Business Owners is that you can never, and must never give up.
One random fact about myself that I would share with the community, which is outside of my business goals, is that I love to blend Water Melon with Ginger , it is the most delicious, refreshing and nutritious natural drink one can have, and its packed with natural antioxidants.
Those are my few words about me, I hope to learn and grow as an email marketer in this community, and share what I have learnt with others as time goes by.
Hey Dean, welcome in! I am loving the amount of interesting drink combinations I’m hearing from everyone. Watermelon and Ginger sounds so good! I will definitely have to try that when watermelons are back in season here.
Definitely check out our discussion topics to start chatting with other business owners and ask any questions you may have as well!
I definitely will check out the discussions Amanda And I am certain you will enjoy that Melon and Ginger combination, you can tell me all about it then
