Hi, I’m Mark

What type of business are you in and can you share a win you had recently with it?

I run an educational consultancy business called The Digital Learning Consultant. I focus on tech tips for teachers, pedagogy resources, and CPD training. A recent win is steadily growing my YouTube channel to over 12,225 subscribers, and I’m aiming to reach 20,000 this year by providing valuable free resources and downloadable guides for each lesson.

What part of being a business owner (or promoter) brings you the most joy?

I love creating engaging content that helps teachers feel more confident and inspired in their practice. Seeing how my lessons make a tangible impact on their teaching methods—and knowing that I’m making education more creative and effective—is incredibly rewarding.

What’s the one thing you’ve learned that you would share with a new or aspiring business owner?

Consistency and authenticity matter more than perfection. Building relationships and providing real value to your audience will take you further than chasing trends or over-planning. Start small, keep showing up, and let your passion guide the growth.

Share one random fact about yourself.

I’m a wedding and party caricaturist on the side—and I only use Crayola markers for my work!

  1. What’s your name?

Jean-Christophe Dichant, I live in Paris, France.

  1. What type of business are you in and can you share a win you had recently with it?

I run an 6 figures online business focused on photography education. My primary activity involves helping photographers, especially beginners and enthusiasts, to improve their skills and discover the artistic side of photography through newsletters, training, and content creation.

I’ve been doing this since 2014, it’s my main business.

  1. What part of being a business owner (or promoter) brings you the most joy?

The most rewarding aspect is connecting with my audience through emails (daily since 2021) and the direct impact my advice has on their creative journey.
It’s very gratifying to know that I’m helping others explore photography not only as a technical practice, but also as a creative one.

  1. What’s the one thing you’ve learned that you would share with a new or aspiring business owner?

Consistency is everything.
Whether it’s about delivering value to your audience or maintaining your own focus, small, regular actions add up to big results over time.
And always prioritize building genuine relationships with your audience–it’s more powerful than any marketing tactic.
Keeping in regular contact with your list lets subscribers know who they can turn to when they encounter a problem or have a new need.
My credo: You can never send enough e-mails

  1. Share one random fact about yourself (something you are passionate about outside of business, your go to breakfast drink, etc).

Apart from photography, I’m passionate about motorcycles and road trips. Exploring new places on my Harley-Davidson is my way of recharging and finding inspiration for my photography.
And my favorite breakfast drink? A good cup of full-bodied black coffee, essential for getting the day off to a good start while reading other people’s newsletters!

*3. What part of being a business owner (or promoter) brings you the most joy?
If I can make a positive difference in someone’s life, then I am happy.

The great outdoors; being from Montana, the wonders of nature are everywhere.

What’s your name?

My name is Geoff Hopkins. I am a Brit who has been living in Asia since 2005 and in Vietnam since 2008. I abandoned to corporate world in 2011 to partner in my current business.

What type of business are you in and can you share a win you had recently with it?

Our business is the direct sourcing of single origin teas from small scale artisan producers in the mountains of Vietnam and selling to domestic and overseas retail and wholesale customers. In the summer we entered teas into an international competition for the first time (UK Tea Academy International Awards) and received a Highly Commended prize. Also self-published a book (Vietnam Tea Tales) in 2024 describing the history, environment, geography and our experiences with tea in Vietnam.

What part of being a business owner (or promoter) brings you the most joy?

The greatest joy is travelling to and discovering remote corners of Vietnam, meeting new and existing tea makers, and collaborating in the creation of new tea products. A close second is interacting with customers from around the world and sharing what we have learned over the years about the tea landscape in Vietnam. We have customers in over 60 countries.

What’s the one thing you’ve learned that you would share with a new or aspiring business owner?

Be realistic about what can be achieved. Don’t expect instant success. Stick to your principles but don’t be afraid to experiment.

Share one random fact about yourself (something you are passionate about outside of business, your go to breakfast drink, etc).

I co-author a blog with a lifelong school friend on our favourite football (soccer) club, West Ham United.

A1. Hello you awesome people, my name is Dale, a pleasure to be here.

A2. I am in the golfing & trucking business, still trying to get to grips with the Affiliate side of my online business through my website & YouTube channel. I have set up my own community within my website, of like minded folk that are Trucking Golfers.

A3. I enjoy shooting video’s, I have a Vlog running at the moment with over 300 video’s so far, I also like to send out messages through AWeber to my Subscribers.

A4. Be honest.

A5. I served just over 23 years for Queen and country, my fitness level was quite good, so I have kept the same value with regards to my fitness, I do a lot of body weight exercises, 5 times a week, keeping hydrated is very important so I always have plenty of water with a mixed berry hydration tablet, so refreshing.

I think AWeber is a brilliant tool to use for email marketing, I’m hoping to take full advantage. I also need to build more on subscriber base, so I want to get more Ads out there to attract more emails.

What type of business are you in and can you share a win you had recently with it? I have 3 businesses. Eden Florist and Gift Baskets, Redhead Marketing and PR and Women in Ecommerce

What part of being a business owner (or promoter) brings you the most joy?* (Eden) Being able to bring a smile to my customers face when they order flowers and the recipient is elated. (Redhead) Helping Clients Create Media Campaigns that bring results and (Women in Ecommerce)Featuring Women Who achieving their goals of independence and Financial Freedom

What’s the one thing you’ve learned that you would share with a new or aspiring business owner? Don’t be afraid to take risks. Playing it safe may pay the bills but it is seldom sustainable. Taking calculated risks in business can elevate your brand and make you well known in your industry and the community. An example: years ago a floral magazine editor asked me to write an article about marketing (he noticed the success I was having and wanted our members to learn from my experiences). I told him I had no experience writing and didn’t think anyone would be interested in a story from a small town florist. But I said yes and did it anyway. 10 articles later he said I should write a book because my advice was so valuable. Well I didn’t know I couldn’t write a book so I did. And that one book (Rose Marketing on a Daisy Budget) lead to my writing and contributing to several others and becoming a magazine publisher. It was the one risk that frightened me the most and paid the highest in results.

Share one random fact about yourself (something you are passionate about outside of business, your go to breakfast drink, etc). I love taking long walks with my husband and dog (and the grandkids when they visit). There is nothing quite like inhaling the beauty of nature, and viewing the marvels that God created and we sometimes take for granted. And it’s a bonus that it adds to my daily goals for steps … When I am feeling overwhelmed or overworked, I stop and take a walk, When I get back to work, I am able to dig in and complete a project and get things done.
