You’re all set to draw up your next newsletter for your subscribers, and you’ve got a TON of content and some awesome product images to show off. You gather everything and send a test email to yourself, but then—what is this?!
“What does this mean?!” you think to yourself. If you see this message when you test your email, it means your message might be too big or too long. Gmail limits messages to 102 KB in size, so if you exceed that, you’re going to be told you’ve been clipped.
You can fix this! While it’s tempting to put all your content into one email, sometimes less really is more. Try splitting your content into multiple messages.
This will give you a lineup of engaging messages over several days instead of struggling to draft just one. Plus, shorter emails lead to more engagement.
Ever gotten an email where you had to scroll, and scroll, and scroll just to get through it? If an email is super long, there’s a good chance people won’t read all the way through either.
Stick to a couple of main points and split your content up. This is also a great opportunity to consider creating a running series if you want to keep the conversation going around said content!
