I’m a bit confused. I joined a Bundle and need to send out 3 broadcasts in a week for the girl whose Bundle I am in.
Through the first broadcast I’m currently sitting on 20 new subscribers which is great as I only had 6 previously.
I’m just about to send out the 2nd broadcast. Am I right in thinking the 20 new subscribers won’t click on my free resource again anyway, so the Audience Segment, Active Subscribers, would be correct in this case?

Hey Sue,
The Active Subscribers segment would be anyone currently subscribed to your list. The segment you send to ultimately depends on who you are referring to. For example if you wanted to send to people who didn’t open a message, you would want to instead send to a segment based off of a message not being opened and not all of your subscribers.
What do you mean by a bundle; we’d need some more clarification. You’re more than welcome to reach out and we can talk through your account together from there!
Hi Amanda, a Bundle is where someone invites people to join a collaboration of people who have a free resource or a low-cost resource for a specific niche. It runs for a short period of time, say a week or so. The Bundle I am promoting for this girl is about self-care, like a free skin care guide in my case. She puts all of these resources together and sends out the link to it. People can click on any of these resources within the Bundle. She has given us the script for 3 emails to promote the Bundle over a period of a week. Through this I have gained 20 (at last count) new subscribers.
So what I’m thinking is that I can send the 2nd email message, as people who have clicked on my resource within that Bundle won’t do so again?
Does this make sense?
Hey Sue,
You’re on the right track with the 2nd email. People who already got your guide don’t need to see the promo again. Here are two easy ways to handle that:
- Tag your Bundle signups: Tag subscribers who came in through the Bundle, then leave that tag out when you send the promo emails. You would do that by creating a segment under Subscribers with the criteria Tag>Is Not>Name of Tag; you’d then send to that segment so it leaves out the people you would have already sent to.
- Leave out people who clicked: You could also build a segment of people who clicked the link in your 1st email and leave them out of the 2nd send. That way only people who haven’t acted yet get the reminder.
One quick tip: double-check the Bundle’s deadlines before you send your next email. If signups are closed, you may want to change the message or skip that email so your subscribers don’t click through to an offer they can’t join.
Hi Amanda,
Thanks so much for getting back to me. I had to send the 2nd email out yesterday unfortunately as the deadline is 30 September and we still have 1 more email to send before it ends. But I can perhaps do the 2nd way as I’m not sure in the first that I understand it, ie. tag the subscribers then leave the tag out when sending the promo emails.
So with no 2 I tag all 30 of the new subscribers that I got in the 1st and 2nd emails, so that they don’t receive no 3?
Sue
Hi again! Should I necessarily tag my new subscribers, ie. bundle-selfcare? Or is it ok to just let them go through naturally as they have subscriber to my free resource?
Can you tell me where to find the best tag training please?
Sue
Hi Sue,
We have our guide here that has the links to specific guides around Tagging.
To clarify are you asking if you should have them get all the messages or if you should do the segmenting so they stop getting messages if they engaged already?
