Trouble authenticating my domain and email

Hello, I have followed the instructions from my website provider and for the aweber team but it doet not work, right now I am not able to send emails at all. Is there anyone who have the skills to help me out directly, so we can check exactly what is happening here?

I would really appreciate your time. Thanks a lot,

Hello Viviana,

Welcome to Community, we are so happy that you are here!

I was able to take a look into things for you and I can see that your domain is not properly authenticating due to having multiple DMARC records installed on your domain provider’s side of things. Since you are only allowed to have 1 DMARC record and you currently have 3, you would want to remove the 2 additional records in order to allow things to authenticate properly and be able to send messages out from within your account.

As a reminder, this is the only DMARC record that you will want to have installed on your domain’s side of things:

If you are not familiar with the process of removing those additional records from within your domain provider’s side of things, I would suggest reaching out to their support for further assistance with this.

Let me know if there is anything else that you need assistance with in the meantime, thanks!

Hi Heather, thank you so much for your help. I did the whole thing you suggested, and it is fully authenticated, but it still does not allow me to send emails. the same notification appears when I attemp to send an email.

Hello,

I am still seeing 2 DMARC records installed for your domain from my side of things which is why this is not passing within AWeber. You will want to remove the other record which is showing with the following value and things should pass within AWeber for you:

\ufeffv=DMARC1; rua=mailto:viviana@digitalmompreneurs.com; ruf=mailto:viviana@digitalmompreneurs.com; p=none; sp=none; fo=0;

Once that record is removed and you only have the 1 remaining then you should be able to send messages without any issues.

Let me know if you continue to run into trouble with this, thanks!

Hello Heather, thank you so much for your help. I did remove it. And it worked, now I can send emails. thank you for that.

It looks like now I have a bigger problem though. My webpage is not there anymore. I created a subdomain, I might have done something wrong here. Is there anyway I could recover it?

Heather if I decide to let go of my subscription with my website provider, I bought my domain with them, is there any way I can still keep the same domine? because the majority of landing pages I have, I have created them in Aweber, but with this domain www.digitalmompreneurs.com, if I cancel my subscription with them, how can I make sure my landing page with aweber will not suffer and I still can keep them? Thank you so much.

Hello Viviana,

Did you connect your domain with the AWeber Landing Pages? If you connected the main domain to your landing pages, that may explain why the site is not appearing. You would only want to connect subdomains to your landing pages.

If you want to have your site reappear, you’d need to make sure to remove the A record and CNAME record you tied to the domain for the landing page setup and then reset it up with your subdomains.

You also mentioned you may let go of your subscription with your website provider. If you also bought your domain through them you may need to move the domain to another registrar. I would strongly recommend checking with your current host as we wouldn’t be able to speak to that portion of things.

If you need further assistance in real time, you can also reach out to our support directly.

Hi Amanda than you for your answer, this is what happened.
I had aweber integrated with my website, so whenever I go to my website I just need to sinc the landing pages and then I will have them ready to go, the landing pages are all in aweber but my main webpage is with my website provider.
I tried to connect a subdomain created with my website provider with my aweber landing pages but when I tried to authenticate the email changing the DNS records it never worked, it work and was fully authenticated when I did it directly with my webside DNS records.
I do not understand why it did not work with the subdomains. I am not sure how to make it work since I did every step but somehow it looks I am still making a mistake but I am not sure where the mistake is.

Hello Viviana,

If you are referring to the awebersub.digitalmompreneurs.com subdomain that you tried to connect to your AWeber account then I can see that this is successfully connected at this time and you would be able to use this with your AWeber landing pages. If you are referring to another subdomain, please let me know which subdomain you are trying to connect to your account and I would be more than happy to take a closer look into this for you from my side of things!

Please keep in mind that it can take some time for your subdomains to show as connected after adding the DNS records to your domain’s side of things so you will want to wait 24-48 hours after adding those records to your domain’s side of things before checking to see if that is connected within your account.

I hope this helps to clear things up. Let me know if there is anything else that we would be able to assist with in the meantime, thanks!
