Is there a way to integrate an audio file into a newsletter?

I think you should link to the audio file in something like Google Drive or on a landing page.
There are a small amount of email clients that support audio; but most of the most popular email clients like gmail and Outlook don’t.
The good news is that readers nowadays are familiar and comfortable with the idea of clicking through an email link to watch a video, listen to audio (like a podcast), etc.

As Chris mentioned, you would be able to add an audio file into your newsletter by uploading that to a platform like Google Drive or DropBox in order to receive a shareable URL. Once you have that URL, you can place that in your newsletter to share that with your subscribers! Seconding what you said, but also by uploading the file and linking to it you can track who is clicking and interacting with your file. If you were to add it as an attachment, you wouldn’t be able to track who is engaging with it
