Can I get notification about subscribers starting or stopping campaigns?

I can easily receive an email notification when a new subscriber signs up. Is it possible to receive notification when someone already subscribed has a new tag applied, or begins or finishes a campaign?

Welcome to the Community, John!

There isn’t currently a way to get notified when a subscriber receives a tag, begins, or finishes a Campaign. If this is a feature you want to see implemented, it would be best to create a new post in the Feature Request category and include context about how this feature will help your workflow. This will allow us to track this feature, and it will allow for other members of the community to chime in and upvote this feature to show their shared interest.

We’ll keep an eye on the Feature Request category for your post!

Hi John,

I’ve just moved this post over to the feature request category so that other users can chime in and upvote this feature to show their shared interest.

Could you please provide the following context regarding this request so that we can appropriately track this on our end?:

Thanks, Justin. We have a signup form that includes a checkbox to ask for more information on an urgent issue. Rather than simply sending an automatic reply (say, by adding them to a campaign started by the tag added by the checkbox on the form), we wanted to be notified as soon as someone checked that box without having to sort through hundreds of signups that did not check the box.

Since Aweber does not have a way of notifying us when a subscriber receives a tag (or starts or finishes a campaign) we worked around this by sending a notification of the signup to an additional email address in Outlook, and then creating a rule in Outlook that filters out all the emails where that box is not checked, and forwards only the tagged emails to the person who needs to contact those subscribers.

Being able to do this directly from Aweber would be more convenient and flexible, but it is not a high priority for us since we have a usable workaround. Thanks again for your help.

Thanks for providing that context, John!

That’s a really smart solution using notification emails and filtering them based on the tag in your inbox.

Even though you found this solution, I’ve shared your feedback with the team, and we’re actively tracking interest in this feature. This thread will remain open so that other members of the community can add their input.

When I first started using a Weber tags didn’t exist so we ended up having multiple lists to be able to differentiate our campaigns and I’ve been paying for duplicate and sometimes triplicate fee fees because some people are on multiple lists which is always quite honestly #$%^ me off.

I’m in the process of consolidating my lists and tags are the way to differentiate that but what I’m missing now is Notification when a tag is added I get a notification when someone joins the list but I don’t get notification when someone gets a tag added. I need that thanks.
