AWeber AI: What to Send After Black Friday/Cyber Monday

Black Friday and Cyber Monday are done, you made sales, your inbox is quieter. But here’s what most people miss: those Black Friday shoppers need to hear from you again…soon.

Last week, we covered how many emails to send during BFCM and gave you Newsletter Assistant prompts. Now it’s time to keep those new customers engaged (without being pushy).

Why this matters: A customer who just bought from you is 9x more likely to buy again than a cold subscriber. But if you go silent? They’ll forget about you by January.

Here’s your post-BFCM email plan:

Week 1 (This Week): The Thank You

Use Newsletter Assistant to write a genuine thank you email. No sales pitch, just appreciation.

Prompt to use: “Write a warm thank you email for customers who purchased during our Black Friday sale. Keep it brief and friendly. Mention we’re here if they need help with their order.”

Schedule this for Wednesday or Thursday (after orders have been sent/delivered).

Week 2-3 (Early December): The Value Add

Don’t disappear. Send helpful content related to what they bought.

Prompt to use: “Write an email with 3 quick tips for getting the most out of [product/service they purchased]. Make it conversational and helpful, not salesy.”

Week 4 (Mid-December): The Soft Introduction

Now you can introduce related products: gently.

Prompt to use: “Write an email introducing [complementary product] to customers who recently bought [Black Friday product]. Focus on how it pairs well together. Include a soft CTA but don’t be pushy.”

For NEW subscribers who didn’t buy (yet):

They joined your list during your BFCM promotion, but didn’t purchase. They’re still warm!

Prompt to use: “Write a short email asking new subscribers what they’re most interested in learning about [your niche/industry]. Keep it conversational and include 2-3 options they can reply with.”

Don’t immediately hit them with “FINAL CHANCE” or “LAST DAY” emails for a completely different sale. Give them at least a week to breathe and recoup.
