Links not working for some people in campaign emails

Hi there,

I’ve gotten a few emails over the years from subscribers who find that the links in my emails (in a campaign) don’t work for them. I got one of these emails the other day from someone for whom the links don’t work on mobile. They work fine for me and for most other people though. There might be some kind of ad blocker or overeager browser that’s not liking Aweber’s click tracking links?

Anyway, I’m wondering what I can do about this, how widespread of a problem it is (has anyone else experienced this?) and how to turn off click tracking on a campaign, if I decide I want to do that?

Thanks,
Emilie

Hello Emilie,

Thanks for reaching out with your question and welcome to AWeber Community!

Based on the behavior that you are explaining, it does sound like there may be a browser setting or plugin installed on the browser for your subscribers that are having a hard time accessing your links. You can suggest that they view your content within another browser on their device or another device altogether to see if that changes things for them in order to better understand why this is happening. Getting more information about the mail client that they are viewing the emails within would be super helpful in order to continue to troubleshoot this from your side of things!

That being said, I have not heard an elevated amount of complaints about this issue from my side of things. If you would like to bypass the default AWeber click tracking and turn off click tracking for a Campaign, that can be done by installing Email Web Analytics!

Please don’t hesitate to reach back out if you need further clarification, thanks!
