Formatting my incoming Emails from Aweber

Feature I’m looking for: Currently I have to copy and paste each individual field into my contact software when I get an email from Aweber. I’m betting I can go into Aweber and get a report, but that just takes even more time. What I would like, is a formatted text email, or a line in the email that would have all the data for that signup (like a CSV record or some kind of delimited record), that I could copy and paste the whole thing into my contact software with all of the delimited fields (I realize I’d have to build some sort of singe record import in my contact software). It would be nice to format the incoming Emails like I can format the outgoing Emails.

Problem this feature will solve: Allowing me to grab the incoming data quickly for import into my contact sofwtare

How I will use this feature for my business: I’ll be able to create a database of contacts I need to call, or have it available if a customer calls me.

Hi Ray,

Interesting idea. Curious what contact software you’re adding people to?

Tom

It’s our own software. I’ve been using it for over 25 years… changing it as we go. But assuming it was some kind of standard, even an attached xml or csv file, many programs would adapt to it.

Another way to go is to log in to AWeber and have a straightforward, fast way to get a file of subscribers since the last time it was downloaded.

But I personally like the Emails. I can categorize them in my folders and see exactly how many people subscribed month by month just by looking. Having an Email that I receive, that I can configure based on the signup form would be very nice.

The Emails I get have all the information, they’re just not copy friendly. If there were just the fields in the signup form separated by a comma or with quotes and comma’s, and just add the date, or let us choose somehow, I think that would work. Or, something that could be copied and pasted into a spreadsheet, one record at a time. I’m not sure what the format for that would be, but a lot of people could use it.

Thanks,

Ray

Have you considered using a direct API integration to your custom CRM? It would eliminate any sort of need to copy paste content manually and automate the entire import process. I’d suggest a configuring a webhook so those subscribers are added immediately. https://api.aweber.com

Zapier is also a popular option for integrating with a ton of different platforms.
