I want to create evergreen urgency on an Aweber landing page that I promote with Facebook ads. I want there to be a count down timer on my page that starts when someone lands on the page and makes the page redirect when the timer hits zero.
It looks like Deadline Funnel does something similar, but only after someone has subscribed to your Aweber list. I want this type of functionality, but BEFORE the person joins my email list.
Does anyone know a solution that works for this on Aweber landing pages?
If not, what’s a good solution for this that you like that works with Wordpress?
Once you create the timer within that platform, you would copy the URL for the timer and add it into the Smart Content element. This will allow the countdown timer to start when someone visits the landing page.
Each provider is different. Most offer an evergreen or perpetual timer that you can set up as opposed to being set to end on a specific date.
In briefly looking at their documentation Sendtric, Countdown Mail, and Mailtimers all offer an evergreen or perpetual timer that you can set up so it continually counts down the same time. You can also check with the individual providers to see more specific features that they provide.
Do I have to have MotionMail, Sendtric, Countdown Mail, Mailtimers, or Promofeatures to do what you are suggesting?
If yes, doesn’t this only work for promotions that I send to my email list?
I’m looking for a solution that works for ads that I run on Facebook that go directly to an Aweber landing page, where the landing page has no email capture and instead goes straight to selling a product via Stripe. On this product landing page that I drive traffic to via Facebook ads is where I want the countdown timer.
Also, will these countdown timers actually result in the page being redirected automatically once the timer hits zero? I don’t want false urgency.
Can I do what I want to do with what you are outlining?

There are many possible solutions to the question you asked, Amanda was merely providing some possibilities. You’re certainly not limited to using others you might find.

Landing pages in AWeber are independent things, they are not tied to exclusively to people receiving them from emails you send. They can and are used across our user base as full time websites, landing pages for ads on Facebook, Google, and many others.

AWeber landing pages are a website, just like any other website. They can receive visitors from anywhere.

Probably not as we don’t allow javascript embeds on AWeber landing pages. You’d need javascript support to do any sort of redirect like that.
